What 2017 brings for Quandary Productions

Quandary Productions are now based in Cardiff, as well as Lincoln, and we are working on networking with local creatives here as quickly as possible. But what lies ahead for us now?
First of all we’re setting up our ‘Revival Cinema’ online! Whilst we discern the plausibility of setting up a “real-world” cinema in 2018, to show films of historical significance, in the same way a gallery shows the work of famous artists, we plan to host a film a week on our site with reasons to watch the film, information regarding the production of the film, and encourage online discussion around films which have been forgotten or ignored. This initiative begins in January. If you would like to know more, drop us a message.
Next up, ‘ANHEDONIA‘ – our next feature film. We’re gearing up for pre-production and crowdfunding will most likely be April-time. As an added incentive, this time round, we will be walking across the country (Cardiff to Lincoln), if we reach our target budget, as thank you, and mirroring the journey taken in the world of the film. For those who are unfamiliar with the focus of our next film, here is the synopsis:
Forever torn between apathy and empathy, haggard musician Kino Warren, upon hearing of his mentor’s impending death, decides to walk across country to him, believing wholeheartedly that the mentor cannot die until he arrives. On his journey Kino is unaware several people are on his tail – varyingly malicious and politically involved – in search of the only-known recording of the greatest piece of music ever made, supposedly capable of taking away all pain within the listener – created by his mentor, and in his possession, completely unbeknownst to him. ‘ANHEDONIA’ will be a metaphysical thriller about Arts ability to reduce suffering.
And finally, we have a short film in development as well. A brief exploration into film history and technique, the film will follow a person trapped in a film – that’s all we’re revealing for now. In the meantime follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube, and we’ll keep you up to date with the next, major step of our journey. Thank you for your time.
