The ‘TIME AND PLACE’ Premiere

This Saturday, we premiered our latest feature film ‘TIME AND PLACE’ at The Collection, Lincoln (a great auditorium – I recommend any other filmmakers in the Midlands area use it!). So, what were the first public opinions of our latest bohemoth? Overwhelmingly positive! All members of the audience who were creative types were suitably awe-struck, and ‘Regular-Joe’ types all commented that although it not necessarily be the kind of film they’d normally choose to watch, the quality of the film was undeniable. Feedback online from the first wave of On Demand and Crowdfunders has also been overwhelmingly nice (one person even commented that it was among one of the top films they’d seen this year!)
So, it goes without saying, that I’m incredibly proud of the film. Watching it on the big screen was a great experience. As the ending approaches, there’s a real electricity in the room, as the audience have no idea what is about to happen next. It’s at this point where I felt the most proud. It’s arguably the most arty moment of the film, but because it works, it’s what elevates the film from a quality production, to something more profound. Again, I can’t express how proud I am of the film, and it means a lot to me that it’s being so well received.

Once the premiere was over, you’d think we’d go celebrate and relax…nope. We went straight into filming another scene for our new Web Series ‘THIS IS GOOD’. This time we were working with the ever-hilarious Stuart Almond (those who’ve seen ‘TIME AND PLACE’ will recognise him as Steve, the main character’s Agent. As always, it was a joy to work together. Stu managed to take an already funny scene and turn it into pure gold, but inflecting words in a way we weren’t quite ready for. I was acting in the scene alongside him, and (as always) I corpsed for the majority of the shoot. At one point I didn’t think we were going to get the filming down as a result. We ploughed through though, and bagged a golden scene for the series (more information on the end of the shoot and release dates soon).
